This recipe was given to me by my very dear friend, Marion, whom I have known for about 30 years... You will not find a more delicious pie crust recipe... This one is so flaky and melts in your mouth... This is a must have for your recipe collection...

Marion's Pie Crust Recipe

5 1/2 cups Flour

1 tablespoon of Salt

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 large Egg, beaten

1 cup of water

1 pound of Lard - no substitutes

1 tablespoon of Vinegar

In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking powder... After dry mixture is well blended, add the lard... Mix these all together until the mixture is crumbly...

Take beaten egg and put it in the one cup of water... Then add vinegar and mix well...

Slowly add the egg mixture to the flour mixture until the dough is a smoothly formed ball and ready for rolling and baking...

NOTE: This recipe is very large and freezes very well... Use what you need and freeze the rest...
