"I made these for Christmas for a change - something different. We loved them so much! They are so easy to make - takes 30 minutes or less. Thought I would share this recipe with everyone in case someone is planning a party and may like to have something tasty, good and easy to make."



Italian Beef Sandwiches


1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 medium yellow pepper, thinly sliced

1 medium red pepper, thinly sliced

1/2 cup of mayonaisse

1/4 cup of Italian dressing

1 pound of deli roast beef

5 or 6 sandwich buns

9 slices of real swiss chesse, deli style



In a large skillet, combine onion and peppers and 2 tablespoons of mayo. Cook until tender.

Drain on a paper towel and keep warm.

Reduce heat and add Italian dressing, roast beef and the remaining mayo. Cook thoroughly - about 5 minutes.

Place roast beef on open buns. Add the cooked peppers and onions on top of roast beef. Then place swiss cheese cut into halves on top of peppers and onions.

Then place the open faced sandwiches on a cookie sheet and toast slightly in the oven or until cheese is melted.

Eat and enjoy !
