Here is a "Southern Recipe" sent in

by my very good friend Shirley!

I will have to give this

recipe a try. Sounds great!


RECIPE BY:Shirley 

Servings: 4 



2 Cups Water 

1 Cup Skim Milk 

1 Teaspoon Salt

3/4 Cup Grits


To make the grits, bring water and milk

to a boil in a medium saucepan over

medium-high heat. 

Whisk in the grits,

reduce heat and cook,

stirring, until all liquid is absorbed.

Add more water or milk if necessary

to get the grits creamy.

Cheese may also be added if so desired.
