These two wonderful recipes were sent to me by Luanna who is a member of the Velvet Tones Chorus in MN. This is what she says about the recipes:


"These recipes came from our co-ordinator for the Velvet Tones chorus we sing in. She brought these to our pot-luck and they were a big hit."




Aunt Martha's Butter Cookies (Bake-off winning recipe) 


*This is a family recipe!


1 pound butter - cream (must be real butter)

1 cup white sugar

4 cups flour

1 teaspoon vanilla



1 - Use a mixer to blend all the ingredients.

2 - Make into four rolls and refrigerate (my recipe card says "ice box"!) for at least one hour.

3 - Slice and bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Sprinkle sugar on the top while warm.

DELICIOUS!








Jan's Mom's Best Coffee Cake



1 Yellow Cake Mix

1 package instant vanilla pudding

1/2 cup oil

4 eggs

1 cup sour cream



1 - Mix together and spread 1/2 batter in a greased 10 inch bundt pan.

2 - Sprinkle a mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts on the batter.

3 - Add the rest of the batter and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.


Everyone loves this coffee cake!
